Obituary

Mrs. Ada Bell Moore

Mrs. Ada Bell Moore was born on October 20, 1939, to the late Ms. Luvina Hollins and the late Mr. James Alexander in Simpson County, Mississippi. Ada dedicated her life to Christ at an early age and joined New Hymn M.B. Church and was a faithful member until her health failed. She was reared in the Simpson County area.

Ada Bell Moore received her education at New Hymn School. She worked for Piney Woods School for numerous years and the Strong River Camp.

She had a love and passion for her family.

She departed this life on February 11, 2019, at 10:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Nursing Home. She married Willie C. Moore and they were happily married for 55 years. She was preceded in death by her mother, Luvina Hollins; father, James Alexander; and two sons, Clyde D. Alexander and Roy L. Alexander.

Ada leaves to cherish her precious memories: a loving husband, Willie C. Moore of New Hebron, Mississippi; two sisters, Mrs. Yvonne Funches of Mendenhall, Mississippi and Della Willis of New Hebron, Mississippi; a special nephew, Kawat Sandifer; and a special niece, Trudy Sullivan, both of Mendenhall, Mississippi—who took pleasure in taking care of her until she was called home along with special caretaker, Linda Hooker; her daughter, Linda Joyce Moore of Rockford, Illinois; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
