Carolyn Anthony-Gordon was born October 9, 1945, in Mendenhall, Mississippi to the late Cora-Mae McGee & Jesse Anthony. She was a faithful member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she loved to serve the Lord. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, baking cakes and making people smile.

The angel of death came on Monday, March 23, 2020 at 7:35 a.m.

She leaves to cherish her memory a loving and devoted daughter, Francis Demetric Mays-Leflore of Mendenhall, Mississippi; a loving son, Donald (Vinessa) Mays of Mendenhall, Mississippi; eight grandchildren, Celeste Leflore and Oksana Leflore of Mendenhall, Mississippi, Anthony (Brittani) Mays of Mendenhall, Mississippi, Olivia (Nick) Grantham of Brandon, Mississippi, Otis Mays, Tyrell Mays, Andrea Jones of D'Lo, Mississippi, and Racheal Mays; sisters, Mary (Rev. John) McDonald, Wanda McGee, Gloria McGee & Sandra McGee; a loving, special auntie, Loree Caraway, who was her "ride or die," if you saw one, you definitely saw the other one; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great grandchildren and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Lamont Mays of Mendenhall, Mississippi; her beloved husband, George Gordon of Columbus, Mississippi; her brothers, Howard McGee, Glen McGee, Robert McGee; and sister, Deborah Lee
