Charles was a quiet, loving, and simple person. Charles loved fishing and being with family and friends.

Charles was married to Janet Overby Walker. Two children were born to their union: LaTreace Walker and Charles Walker.

Charles leaves to cherish his memories: his daughter, LaTreace Walker and his son, Charles Walker (Erica); four grandchildren, Kendrick Walker, Edward Walker, Kelsi Miller, and Kendra Miller; one loving and caring sister, Verma McDonald (Ross) and one brother, Marshall Thompson; and a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
