Clarice Jones

Clarice Jones was born on June 6, 1944, in Rankin County, Mississippi, to the late Mr. Latimore Jones, Sr. and Margaret Funches Jones. She was one of 15 children. She was preceded in death by three sisters, two brothers, a daughter, two grandsons, a nephew, and a sister-in-law.

Clarice Jones was educated at Harper Vocational High School where she excelled in basketball. Often called Tee in the neighborhood community, she was well known for her softball skills. She joined the St. Peter M.B. Church at an early age.

On Friday morning, May 17, 2019, God called Ms. Clarice home to rest while surrounded by loved ones at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Magee, Mississippi.

Clarice Jones leaves to cherish her memory: three daughters, Caroline Hubbard (Robert) of Houston, Texas, Mary Jones and Nikki Jones, both of Mendenhall, Mississippi; two sons, James Jones (Tay) of Portland, Oregon and Corey Jones of Mendenhall, Mississippi; 17 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and close friends
