Dariah Elaine Sexton
Minister Dariah Elaine Winn Sexton was born March 5, 1961, to Laura Etta Jackson and Eddie Ray Milton in Magee, Mississippi. On Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at the age of 58, Dariah Sexton departed the dead and entered into the living at Memorial Hospital, Gulfport, Mississippi. Though born in Magee, Mississippi, Dariah grew up in the Hawpond Community and attended McLaurin Elementary, Junior High and High School in Magee, Mississippi.
After moving to the Mississippi Gulf Coast in the early 1980s, she became a member of Main Street Missionary Baptist Church where she served for several years. She later became a member of People Mission Baptist Church and became a licensed minister, director of praise dancing, and a Sunday School teacher. Always an active member of People Mission, she served the Lord with her melodious voice and by leading the children through the Youth Ministry. "Something that brought joy to her life," was her love of taking care of children and teaching them about the Lord.
