Dolores Franklin Jaynes - Funeral Program
Dolores Franklin Jaynes was born on May 8, 1954, to the late Ora Dell (Gardner) and Berry James Franklin. She was the youngest daughter of seven children. She was brought up and reared in the St. John Community of Braxton, Mississippi.
Dolores was baptized at an early age under the pastorate of Reverend W.W. Burkett. She was an active member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the Sunshine Choir, later the Adult Choir, served as a Junior Usher, Assistant Secretary of Sunday School, Announcing Clerk, and with other auxiliaries.
Dolores married Clarence L. Jaynes and to this union three (3) children were born: a son, Clarence L. Jaynes, Jr., who preceded her in death, and two beautiful daughters, Shennetta and Kimberly.
Dolores, as years passed, was given a sign from God in 2009 to move her membership to New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church (Puckett, Mississippi) under the leadership of Reverend Lowery "Bill" Griffith where they welcomed her with open arms. There, she served as an Usher and member of the Senior Choir.
Dolores, as a mother, grandmother, sister, cousin and friend, leaves to cherish her memory: Shenetta (Nehemiah) Draughn and Kimberly (Brian) Harper, both of Braxton, Mississippi; goddaughter, Wynee Beverly of Magee, Mississippi, who she took under her wings (I love you so much!); four grandchildren (Oh, how I love you!!!), Quentin (Sosha) Goodlow of Dallas, Texas, Brian Harper, Jr., Braylon Harper, and Noah Draughn, all of Braxton, Mississippi; four great grandchildren, Quinterrius Goodlow, Avarie McCoy, Ayven McCoy, and Oaklynn Goodlow; one special great grandchild, Kaden Beverly; two sisters, Cleotha Franklin of Braxton, Mississippi, and Elaine (Howard) Jenkins of Byram, Mississippi; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins that will cherish her memory.
Dolores was preceded in death by two brothers, John Earl and Benjamin; and two sisters, Jewel and Lenora.
