Douglas Earl White, the eighth child of the late M.P. and Mary White, was born on February 13, 1948 in Magee, Mississippi. He departed this life on January 31, 2017 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Magee, Mississippi.

Earl joined the Goodwater CME Church at an early age. He attended Magee Public Schools and furthered his education in California. After graduation, Earl moved to Toledo, Ohio and worked for Crystral Automobile Company. He retired after 30 years of service. After retirement, Earl moved back to Magee, Mississippi to live. Earl met and married Kathleen Hayes on January 20, 1977 and to this union two children were born.

Earl leaves to cherish his life and legacy: his wife, Kathleen White from Monroe, Michigan; his children: Rolita White from Toledo, Ohio, Marvin (Caprice) White from Toledo, Ohio, and Renata White from Akron, Ohio; seven (7) grandchildren: Kayla, Marveona, Heaven, Amariah, Re'Nya, Dapree, and Nevaeh; three (3) brothers: Rev. Louis (Katie) White, Robert (Pearlie) White, and Melvin (Robin) White; sisters-in-law: Katie White and Velma White; and a special niece, Mary Sims who cared for him during his time of illness. He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents M.P. and Mary White; two brothers: Elijah White and Carvin White; and two sisters: Willie Dean Walker and Alice Rose. His special niece, Rosie (Dottie) White, also preceded him in death.
