Edmon
Smith
Oct 26, 1937 — Aug 11, 2019
Magee
Edmon "Man" Smith was the sixth child of eight children born to the union of the late Reecie and Katie Mae Smith of D'Lo, Mississippi. Two brothers, Junior Smith and Alfred Smith; two sisters; Elnora Gibson and Rether Williams; along with one brother-in-law, Lawrence C. Gardner, Sr., preceded him in death.
At an early age, he united with Shiloh M.B. Church and attended Shiloh Church School during his elementary years. "Man," as he was affectionately called by his family and friends, worked for years at the local Chevrolet dealership owned and operated by the Williams Family and at the Mendenhall Amoco Service Station. He was a car enthusiast and was a local "shade tree mechanic."
He leaves to mourn his passing: one step-daughter, Lou Merle (Elmer) Price of D'Lo, Mississippi; three step-grandsons, Kenneth Woods of Canton, Mississippi, Jermaine Feazell and Donny Feazell, both of Pinola, Mississippi; two sisters, Vernell (Roy) Edwards of Braxton, Mississippi and Mary Lou Gardner of Idaho Falls, Idaho; one brother, Otis (Rella) Smith of Pinola, Mississippi; four sisters-in-law, Margrid Earvain of Michigan, Rosie Faye King of Jackson, Mississippi, Katie Thompson of Pelahatchie, Mississippi and Bobbie Hoard of Brandon, Mississippi; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
