Glenda Faye Young Richards was born September 14, 1951, to the late Alfred Young, Sr. and Lillie Mae Jaynes Keys.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Willie Grace Doby, and her brother, Alfred Young, Jr.

Glenda was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher and choir member until her health declined.  She was employed at South Central Community Action Agency for many years and part time at the Simpson County Department of Health.  She loved her family dearly and loved to serve the Lord.  She was a loving, dedicated and supportive mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.

Glenda leaves behind to cherish her memories: three children, Sonja Young and Katrina Richards of Mendenhall, Mississippi, and Anthony (Kelli) Richards; two brothers, Kevin (Cynthia) Keys and Dwight Hollman of Collins, Mississippi; sister-in-law, Linda Young, like a sister, Patricia (Jerry) Howell, both of Gulfport, Mississippi.  She also leaves seven grandchildren, one great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews and her dog, Alex Richards.
