Hattie
Hollins
Dec 11, 1981 — Oct 17, 2021
Pinola
Hattie was born December 11, 1981, in Jackson, Mississippi, to Ozell and Maxine Hollins. Early in the morning of October 17, 2021, the angel of death entered the Hollins home and called our loved one home.
Hattie received her education from the Simpson County Public Schools and joined New Hymn Baptist Church at a young age.
Hattie had a strong passion for taking care of others and later in life she became a private care worker for a number of years. During Hattie's spare time, she cared for her Uncle Clarence and she loved spoiling and caring for children.
There is an open gate at the end of the road through which each must go alone, and there is light we cannot see, our Father claims His own. Beyond the gate our loved one finds happiness and rest, and there is comfort in the thought that a loving God knows best. Preceding her in death were her parents, Ozell and Maxine Hollins; her brother, Andre Hollins; and her nephew, Brian Hollins, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters: Jalah Grayer, and Makayla Hollins, both of Pinola, Mississippi; one grandson, Zylan Grayer, Pinola, Mississippi; two godchildren, Ahzaria Terrell and Jamir Coleman of Crystal Springs, Mississippi; three brothers, Samuel Hollins, Jr., Las Vegas, Nevada, Terrance Hollins and Brian (Stephanie) Hollins, Sr. both of Pinola, Mississippi; two sisters, Tabatha (Al) Farrish, Hazlehurst, Mississippi and Nina (Jeremii) Morvant, Pinola, Mississippi; four special cousins reared as siblings, Billy Hollins, Pinola, Mississippi, Desmonica McIntosh, Byram, Mississippi, Terrance McIntosh, Pinola, Mississippi, and Latiara Terrell, Crystal Springs, Mississippi; her special friend, Martez Skaggs; her favorite cousin, Sharon Bryant; eight nieces and nephews, Lazarika, Breuna, Moiesha, Brikeem, Janasia, Jamie, Jeremii, Jr., and Aaliyah; six great nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins, in-laws, friends, and extended family.
