Hazel Agee was born on March 9, 1940 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to the late Van Barnes and Mary M. Booth. On the afternoon of August 9, 2017, God blessed Hazel with a pair of beautiful wings, as He called her home to rest. Hazel accepted Jesus Christ at an early age. She attended Apostolic Tabernacle of Magee, Mississippi.

Hazel leaves to cherish her priceless memories: two sons and one daughter; RL (Veronica) Ducksworth, Mobile, Alabama; Tonya (Joe) Washington, Collins, Mississippi; and Russell (Janice) Agee, Mendenhall, Mississippi; five grandchildren: Varonica Booth, Collins, Mississippi; Erica Ducksworth, Mobile, Alabama; Demetrius (Natasha) Coleman, Dallas, Texas; Austin Lott, Mendenhall, Mississippi; and Derrick (Taylor) Townes, Collins, Mississippi; eight great grandchildren: Jarmacus, Jordan & Jamya, Mobile, Alabama; Joanna, Collins, Mississippi; Donnella, David, Davisha, & Kimora, Dallas, Texas; one brother, RL Barnes, Hattiesburg, Mississippi; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Hazel was preceded in death by her son, Gary Ducksworth; her parents, Mary M. Booth and Van Barnes; and her brother, Van Barnes.
