Joe Ann Agee Funeral Program

JoeAnn Agee was born on July 21, 1953, in Covington County, Mississippi, to Obie Lee Agee, Sr. and Mrs. Alma Ree Moffett Agee-Smith. She finished her course and departed this life on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Bedford Care Nursing Home in Mendenhall, Mississippi. JoeAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Obie L. Agee Sr. and Alma Ree Moffett Agee-Smith; a loving stepmother, Marie Agee; and brothers, Obie L. Agee, Calvin E. Agee, Leroy Agee, Edward L. Agee, and Gary Agee.

She was graduate of New Hymn High School and a member of Old Hopewell Baptist Church. She was a faithful member until her health failed. She was the only girl in the family with five brothers. JoeAnn enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, talking on the phone, and spending time with family. She was also known for her laughter at Bedford Care nursing home.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: a daughter, Connie Calloway (Leroy); and a son Lee Vernon Agee; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two stepsisters, Sherry Smith and Carolyn Haynes, both of Saginaw Michigan; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Agee of D'Lo, Mississippi and Jean Agee of Gulfport Mississippi; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
