John L McGee was born on October 28, 1947 as #19 of 20 children in Star, Mississippi to the late R.P. and I'Della Barnes McGee.  He departed this life on April 2, 2o22 at Merit Health Crossgates in Brandon, Mississippi.  John was baptized at an early age at Zion Hill MB Church in Pearl, MS and attended West Union High School.  John was united in Holy Matrimony to JoAnn Magee on March 21, 1972 and to this union five children were born.

Serenthia Magee, Mahalia Magee, Ounchea McGee, Alexia Magee, Thomas Magee, Terrance Magee, and Javell (Janay) McGee.

4 Great Grandchildren:

Caylee McGee-Crowell, Ja'Kaylin McGee, Bayleee Bagley, and a bonus great grand son Ja'Von Magee

His parents, R.P. and I'Della McGee, his wife JoAnn McGee, 2 sons Johnny and Joe Thomas McGee, and his 17 other siblings.
