Sister Johnie Celeste Womack McCollum was born November 29, 1929, in Mendenhall, Mississippi. She entered into her heavenly
eternal rest on Monday, March 16, 2026.

She was the lovely daughter of the late Nurance and Emma Jane Womack.

Sister Johnie lived in Chicago, Illinois, for numerous years. Upon retiring, she moved back to her hometown of Magee, Mississippi. She loved working in her yard, planting flowers, and growing her small garden. She joined the St. Peter M.B. Church and began serving with the mission. She was a faithful member until her health began failing.

She was united in marriage to AC McCollum. To this union, seven children were born; two of whom preceded her in death, Keith McCollum and Ronnie McCollum.

Cherishing her loving memories are five children, Ricky McCollum of
Mendenhall, Mississippi, Patricia Whitfield of Magee, Mississippi, Tineca McClenney of Newport News, Virginia, Marve McCollum and Lashon McCollum, both of Chicago, Illinois; one brother, Billy Ray (Joyce) Womack of Columbia. Mississippi; 17 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
