Lauree Magee Hayes - Funeral Program

Lauree "Granny" Magee Hayes was born on April 17, 1931, to Spence and Willie Magee. She departed this life on March 21, 2026, at Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall, MS.

Lauree was married to the late Mr. Onet Hayes in 1973. She was a member of Shiloh M.B Church where she served faithfully until her health failed her. She was employed at Universal Manufacturing (later known as Magnetek) for 30 years until her retirement. She then worked as a private home caregiver. Granny loved being in her garden, tending to her flowers, and taking care of her family.

She is survived by: her daughters, Renetta Magee and Henretta Lott, both of D'Lo, Mississippi; her son, S.L (Anna) Oatis of Killen, Texas; one brother, Lee Artis Magee of D'Lo, Mississippi; ten grandchildren who she helped to raise, Tammy Lott, Janice (Russell) Agee, Corey (Tiffany) Lott, Curtis (Vicky) Magee, Roslyn Lott, Ebony (Lance) Gray, Courtney Lott, Anthony (Sameerah) Magee, Tilba and Kadeem Smith; 24 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
