Leffie Ledrew James Jr., born January 13, 1947, in Simpson County, Mississippi, entered the arms of Christ on October 4, 2026.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Attlee James (née Jones) and Leffie Ledrew James, Sr., and by his brothers, George Hayes and Levi James.

At a young age, Ledrew joined Bethlehem Baptist Church, where he laterserved faithfully as a deacon and Sunday School superintendent. He
graduated from Harper High School in 1967 and began his working career at Magnetek Corporation, retiring from both Magnetek and Boswell after many dedicated years of service.

He is survived by: his wife, Ruby Jewel James of Mendenhall, Mississippi; his children, Steven D. James (Latoya) of Decatur, Illinois, Kevin James (Tiffany) of Shivers, Mississippi, Sonya James of Magee, Mississippi, Sharon Walker (Anthony) of Mendenhall, Mississippi, Jennifer Hasenfratz (Aloysius) of St. Louis, Missouri, Veronica Taylor (Clemence) of Frederiksted, Virgin Islands, Melvin L. Walker (Maria) of
London, England, and James Dexter Griffin of Prentiss, Mississippi; along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many cherished family members.
