Lowery James Nobles, 68, was born July 21, 1952, to the late Luther and LeOtha Nobles of D'Lo, Mississippi.

Lowery James was the fourth of six children born to this union. He passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020, at his home in D'Lo, Mississippi.

Lowery James joined the Shiloh M.B. Church at an early age and attended Harper Vocational High School in Mendenhall, Mississippi.

Lowery James married Joyce Ann Davis of Jackson, Mississippi and to this union three children were born.

Lowery James worked for the City of Jackson for many years and returned home to reside and assist with caring for his aging Mother.

Lowery James leaves to cherish his loving memories: his mother, LeOtha Nobles; three siblings, Dorine Nobles Boykin, Carolyn Nobles Doby and Stanley Nobles; three children from his previous marriage, Lowery Davis Nobles, Stephen Davis Nobles and Tammie Davis, all of Jackson, Mississippi; aunt, Gussie Hamilton of Detroit, Michigan; uncles, Michael and Bobbie Hamilton of D'Lo, Mississippi; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Lowery James was preceded in death by his father, Luther Nobles; his brother, L.D Gates and his sister, Mattie Mae Walker.
