Markita Renee Jenkins, 28, was born March 6, 1989 in Jackson, Mississippi. She passed on December 9, 2017 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Magee, Mississippi. Markita attended Mendenhall High School where she graduated in 2008. She was a member of St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church.

Markita was a loving and kind-hearted young woman who became ill at an early age. Throughout her illness, she enjoyed life and never complained. She loved spending time with family and friends. To know her, was to love her.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Stella Louise Jenkins and great grandmother.

Markita leaves to cherish her loving memory: a devoted father, Aundrea Jenkins and stepmother, Tameka Stewart-Jenkins; her mother, Kenyanna Walker; grandparents, Linda Jenkins and Randy Walker; great grandmother, Della Sullivan; five siblings: her twin brother, Marcus Jenkins, Rodricgues Jenkins (Phylicia), Audrey Walker, Benny Berry, Jr. and baby brother, Kelvin Jenkins. She also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
