Marshall Lee
Thompson, Sr
Nov 3, 1956 — Sep 29, 2021
Mendenhall
Marshall Lee Thompson Sr. was born on November 3rd, 1956, to the union of Dorothy and Marshall Thompson in Mendenhall, Mississippi.
Marshall Thompson graduated from Mendenhall High School in 1974. He attended Hinds Community College where he studied auto mechanics. His early love of automotive lasted for over 30 years.
On June 26th, 1976, Marshall was united in matrimony to Sandra Myers. To this union four children were born; LaQuandra (Rodrick) Thompson, Marshall (Jazlyn) Thompson Jr., Tiffany (Brandon) Wright, and one which proceeded him in death as an infant. His legacy continues with six grandchildren: Jabari, Zavian, Avery, Braylon, Marshall III, and Bryson.
Marshall enjoyed laughing and playing around with his grandchildren. Even though he would let them win during a wrestling match, he would let out the biggest laugh just at the mere thought of them thinking they won against PawPaw.
He was a faithful member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, where he enjoyed and embraced the word of God brought by Reverend Mitchell.
Marshall was proceeded in death by his mother Dorothy, father Marshall, sister Erma, and brother Charles. He leaves to cherish the memory of his oldest Verma (Ross) McDonald. Three children, six grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, best friends Clarence, and others.
