Minnie Ree Hollins Brent was born October 7, 1935, to the late Greene Hollins, Sr. and Idella Griffin.

Minnie was a faithful member of New Hymn Missionary Baptist Church until her death.

She was married to the late Robert Brent for 67 years. To this union seven (7) children were born. She leaves to cherish her memories: Daryl Brent (Teresa) of Pinola, Mississippi, Jerome Brent (Carolyn) of Riverside, California, Micheal Brent (Carol) and Robin Roberson (Jimmy), both of Harrisville, Mississippi, Wanda Magee (Roy) of Magee, Mississippi, and Gregory Brent (Mary) of New Hebron, Mississippi; one (1) brother, Greene Hollins, Jr. (Clara), Pinola, Mississippi and one (1) sister, Dora Walker, Chicago, Illinois. She also leaves to cherish her memory five (5) grandchildren that she raised as her own: LaTonya Brent, Lamont Brent, Sobrino Brent, Gwen Collins, and Tyus Loftin. The proud grandmother also leaves behind 23 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

One (1) son, Jerry Brent; three (3) sisters, Annie Lee, Charlene Terrell, and Earlean Dixon; and two (2) brothers, JD Hollins and Ozell Hollins, all preceded her in death.
