Mrs. Ora Lee Newsome Sherman was born December 28, 1930, in New Hebron, Mississippi, to Walter Newsome and Lula Berry Newsome, both of whom, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Sherman was a long time resident of Simpson County, Mississippi where she and her husband, Mr. Willie D. Sherman, raised their family.

Ora Lee Sherman was the sweetest and kindest person you could ever meet. If you were lucky enough to call her friend, it was friend for life.

Ora boarded her train to heaven on April 16, 2018. She left behind to treasure her memory four sons, Willie Sherman, Jr. (Porscha), Charles Sherman (Shaunda), David Sherman (Jakki), and Willie Ray Smith; three daughters, Mary Louise Taylor, Deloris Fields (Vernon), and Ora Jean Pernell (Roy). She will also be missed by her brother, Corsie Newsome; three sisters, Jeanette McDuffy (Dewitt), Dorothy Lee Newsome of New York, and Evelyn Magee (Howard) of Jackson, Mississippi; her sister-in-law, Annie Ree Williams; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Ora was preceded in death by her husband, Willie D. Sherman, and her son, Jimmy Dale Sherman.
