Roy Lee Davis, known to all as "Mickey," was born on February 17, 1947, to the late Augusta and Katie Lee Davis. At an early age, Roy joined the Oak Ridge M.B. Church. Roy accepted Christ and continued to serve as a Christian throughout his life.

Roy attended New Hymn School. He was a sociable person and enjoyed laughing with others and loved being around family, friends and coworkers. Roy was passionate about his career with Yellow Freight and worked there until his retirement.

Roy was preceded in death by his son, Jeffery Davis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Roy leaves to mourn: his wife, Roberta Davis of Pinola, Mississippi; three children, Sidney Davis of Magee, Mississippi, Jennifer (Sebastian) Funchess of Georgetown, Mississippi, and Anthony Davis of Pinola, Mississippi; six grandchildren, Jarrius Funchess of Crystal Springs, Mississippi, Kevin, Malcolm, Bryson, Kolton and Raelynn Funchess of Georgetown, Mississippi; one brother, Troy (Bobbie) Davis of Pinola, Mississippi; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
