Ruby Jeanette
Bouie
Sep 23, 1963 — Apr 3, 2018
Pinola
Mrs. Ruby Jeannette McLaurin Bouie was born on September 23, 1963 to Mr. John McLaurin, Sr. and Mrs. Minyon McLaurin in Magee, Mississippi. On April 3, 2018, her physical life came to an end quietly at her home in Pinola, Mississippi.
Affectionately known by her family and friends as Jeannette, she was an encourager, dedicating herself by giving her last to help others feel and see the love of Christ. She confessed her faith at an early age and remained a faithful and dedicated servant.
She faithfully served as a Sunday School teacher and a member of the Mother Board. She had a special love for her family and church family. Ruby acquired her educational achievements at Copiah Lincoln Community College and later furthered her education at Jackson State University. On January 25, 1985, she married the love of her life, her loving husband, Reverend Larry Bouie. Their loved spanned 33 years. To their union, two children were born.
Mrs. Ruby Bouie was preceded in death by her father, Mr. John McLaurin; her brother, Michael McLaurin, and stepfather, Mr. James Gardner.
Many are left to cherish her precious memories: her husband, Reverend Larry Bouie, her children, Joshua (Brandy) Bouie of Moncks Corner, South Carolina and Miracle (Bertrail) Easterling of Brandon, Mississippi; her grandchildren, Trevon Hampton, Giana L. Bouie, Kaleb Josiah Easterling, Elijah T. Bouie, and Nori Sofia Easterling; her mother, Mrs. Minyon McLaurin Gardner; two brothers, Danny (Linda) McLaurin and John Robert McLaurin; and a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, additional relatives, church family and friends. She also leaves to cherish her memory four sisters in Christ, Linda McLaurin, Myrtis Boggans, Christine Williams and Frankie Cahee; an adopted daughter, Veronica Tureaud; and honorary granddaughter, Katelynn McLaurin.
