Obituary

Sandra Lee Willis

This isn't a typical story, because Sandra (San) wasn't an ordinary woman, she was virtuous woman!  Sandra was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 19, 1981, to Harriet Lorraine and Percy McKinney.  The world was not ready for Sandra, and she made it loud and clear!

Growing up in Chicago in the 80's wasn't easy.  Seeking a better life, the Willis family relocated to Milwaukee, WI when Sandra was four years old.  She completed her elementary education and half of her middle school education at Burbank School.  She moved to Mendenhall, MS, and attended Mendenhall Middle School.  She returned to Milwaukee and attended Lady Pitts High School and later transferred to Riverside University High School.  She went on to obtain her General Education Degree at Milwaukee Area Technical College.  She had a love for all things beauty and enrolled in the Paul Mitchell Beauty School and graduated in 2017.  She later obtained her associates degree in digital marketing at Bryant and Stratton College.

On Thursday, September 21, 2023, Sandra received her wings at Upper Valley Medical Center, (Troy, Ohio).  She worked as a Project Manager for Strom Engineering which required her to travel extensively throughout the United States.  Her coworkers adored her, she always provided a listening ear when the needed her the most.  Sandra also had an entrepreneurial spirit and owned two businesses, a shapewear business called The Shape House, LLC and Exotic Scents LLC, in which she created exotic scented body oils and creams.

Sandra was a loving and caring mother to her two children Amara (Molly) and Kiara (Ke-Ke) Willis.  She is the outspoken daughter of Harriet Lorraine Willis and her siblings, LaToya Sykes and Carl Willis.  Sandra was most excited about becoming a grandmother.  We will definitely keep her name alive and make sure baby DJ knows all about her.

Sandra lived a life filled with joy, love, and properity.  She loved to travel and spend time with her family.  She was always the "lit" one and anyone who knew her knew that!  Nothing brought Sandra more joy than holidays and being with her two mini-Sandras, Amara, and Kiara.  Her spirit witll live on in all our hearts.
