Mack
May 4, 1949 — Feb 22, 2021
Pinola
"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."
2 Timothy 4:7
Troy C. Mack was born May 4, 1949, to the late M.C. and Velma T. Mack. He was the fifth child of seven children.
Troy accepted God at an early and joined Taylor Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He loved his church and church family. He served as a Sunday School teacher, Superintendent of Sunday School, choir member (adult choir and male choir). He was set aside for a deacon and a year later he became the youngest deacon at Taylor Hill M.B. Church. Years later Troy became chairman of the Deacon Ministry where he served for 40 years. Troy was a member of the Simpson County Association where he served as President of the Laymen. He was a mentor for all because of his love for everyone – younger and older men and women. Troy was a member of the NAACP where he a recipient of the E.L. Lee Community Service Award.
Troy worked hard all of his life. On October 23, 1969, he started work at Magnetek and worked there for 30 years. He served as Assistant Business Manager for the IBEW Union and supervisor over Shipping and Receiving until the plant moved to Mexico.
Troy united in Holy Matrimony to Alice Marie Holloway in January 1970. Two children were born to their union. After the transition of Alice, Troy didn't want to be alone and he asked God for a wife. On July 8, 2000, God sent Sister Fannie Pittman to be his help meet. Through this union, Troy gained four children.
Troy made his transition from earth to eternity on Monday, February 22, 2021, at his home in Pinola, Mississippi with his wife, Fannie and his brother, Danny Mack at his side.
Troy was preceded in death his parents; two brothers, Rev. M.L. Mack and W. L. Mack; and two sisters, Mary Moore and Betty Reams.
