Willie Lee Sandifer, Sr. sadly passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, in his home. He was a wealth of knowledge and a very loving part of the Georgetown community. He will be sorely missed. May his smile, his unwavering love for family and those close to him, and his joy for life, live on in our memories.

Willie Lee was 70 years old. He was a member of New Lillie Mae Baptist Church. Willie attended New Hymn School, he was a member of the Class of 1971.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents, L.D. Sandifer and Ada Ruth Cox; and four brothers and three sisters. He leaves to cherish his memories: two children, Monica (Ellis) Wilson, and Willie Lee (Shalamar) Sandifer, Jr.; a loving stepmother, Thelma (Luther) Bridges; five brothers, Jerry (Lorene) Cox, James Sandifer, Marvin Sandifer, Ellis Sandifer, and Dennis (Melissa) Walker; six sisters, Doris Sandifer, Betty Thompson, Patricia (Clark) Free, Crystal (Anthony) Alford, Renee (Johnny) Wiley, and Stephanie Sandifer; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
